The published title carries the thought outright: success is not never losing. It is a rejection of the idea that a life is measured by an unbroken record. Losing is assumed. What is not assumed is whether a person gets up and does the one difficult thing that changes the direction of everything after it.
Musically it moves before it resolves. The track pushes forward under a held vocal, because that is what the decision actually feels like — motion underneath, stillness on top, the body already going somewhere the mind has not fully agreed to yet.
